The waitress Brenda was absolutely outstanding so was the food. We ordered a platter for two and enjoyed every bit of it.. Second review : as always the food was outstanding and well praised. Special mention goes to our waitress Zuzu. Her friendly and help full attendance made made our meal ecen more enjoyable. Thank you

Took wifey there for our 27th anniversary. Good friendly service and fresh sushi. Though i woul rather not seeing tje server using her hands to decorate it or finish it with no gloves on. Food was good.

First restaurant in your entire group that charged R4 extra for a tiny container of extra milk (due to the coffee being stronger than described) and the fact that it was charged as extra mini butter. Other than that, the meal was par for the course.

Fresh sushi friendly efficient service. A family favourite. Wednesday half price sushi is a feast for the eye and the palate.

Today is pensioners 50% discount, and the waitress and her supervisor refused to discount the meal, and then charge the remaining amount to a birthday gift voucher that I had been given. They did not listen to me a number of times, and insisted that I could only have a discounted meal to be paid for, or charge the full amount against the gift voucher. This is the second time that this has happened. They also insisted that the voucher would expire after 30 days, and not the three years that I was initially told. It would be very helpful if the staff could be made aware of the T@C's of the birthday gift voucher scheme, as I do not want to go through this aggravation every time that I want to eat on pensioners day and use up my gift voucher.

Very very busy but outstanding service and food

Breakfast menu very limited only two choices. Food at brekko was well cooked, tasty. Service fab-good waitrons/waiters. Place is very empty in mornings and although a fish restaurant I think JDs are missing a opportunity to capitalize on starting a good breakfast menu-more variety on menu. JD Walmer Park is a good place-I visit there often.

This was the first time we had visited the upgraded venue of John Dory's in Walmer Park... the double volume ceilings give it a light and spacious feel. Although the restaurant was fairly full, we were promptly attended to and our meal didn't take long to be served. I was impressed by the weekly specials on offer as well as the ease with which we were signed up for the on-line loyalty card!

The new revamped John Dory's at Walmer Park is great. Took Mom for a treat and she had prawns and asked for rice instead of rocket. It was no problem. I had the sole which was perfectly cooked and the tartare was great. Not just mayo but actual tartare.
